Stage Line Ranch is set on an historic site where travelers rested at the two-story hotel and stage coach stop on their journey from Sprague, north to Omak.  The main spring, which still exists, has always provided enough water for thirsty adventurers and their horses.

Later, a dairy was established on the ranch - hence the road named “7 Springs Dairy Road”.  When the dairy closed, the ranch was devoted to wheat and cattle ranching.  Despite the intense summer heat, the number of lakes providing water access and abundance of grasses made perfect conditions for beef cattle production.
